Unparalleled Expertise with Children Law

Fawcett & Pattni Solicitors is equipped to deal with even the most complex cases involving children whether they are private law disputes over contact between parents or cases where Social Services is involved.

We regularly act for mothers or fathers where residence of a child is an issue. We have experience of acting for Local Authorities in public law Children Act cases and taking instructions from the Official Solicitor where our clients have been incapable of giving instructions. We regularly handle adoption cases and Hague convention cases.

Our expert family department is headed by Bharti Pattni who is a fully accredited member of the Law Society's Children Panel and has decades of experience in all aspects of the law relating to children.

Our firm has been retained in numerous High Court cases involving children, such as Re M where a Local Authority was challenged on human rights grounds over the making of an emergency protection order in respect of a 13 year old child.
